I am not sure if I am happy with this one, I am going to try again.

This would be the "real" photo of the act/ attraction.

Emerging Artists

This is an example of what I am planing on doing with the black and white photo of the sideshow act. I did this a couple of years ago when I was trying to re-create an old tin photo. I told my daughter not to smile because a lot of those old photos have people that aren't smiling. She insisted that she dress her cat up and include her in the photo.

This is an example of the sideshow poster I would like to re-create. I played around with this a few days ago. This is only an idea. The final one will be added soon.

I know I was suppose to do sketches this time however; I played around because this interested me so much! I felt that I could do a better job making one rather than drawing it. I want to build a frame that will pop open on my main page with my business name on it. There will be an arrow with "click here" written on it. When you click the spot a frame will stretch and make stretching sounds then a pop noise when it snaps into place. It is rough because I was flying by the seat of my pants here. The quality of the movie isn't the best because I wanted it to be small enough to play here and not slow down your computers.

Website Concept in Progress

Main Page. Each photo is a link to a photo gallery or information about my business. I wanted each page to feel like a room in a home as my photos will most likely be hanging on walls. I wanted a quirky eclectic feel to my site because that is my the style of work. I would like this type of music to play in this room: sample music. Please open the music in another tab so it plays as you are looking at the website. It might give you a better idea of what I am going for. Each room will have a different type of music to set the mood. Here is a link to a sample slideshow that I made. Each photo in the gallery you click on will take you to a slide show like this( Animoto has an option where I can imbed the video into the page so it will look more professional.) children slideshow
Click on the pregnancy photo or newborn photo and it will bring up a slideshow of my work. In each "room" there will be an object that plays music. You can click on the objects to turn the music on or off. I am thinking about using this type of music for each room:

Coloring Outside of the Lines page. This is a link to a slideshow of my more unusual work.
Senior pictures gallery
Family, children and pet galleries
Weddings and other special occasion galleries
About me page, still trying to figure out what to say here...
Contact Page, needs more info. Still figuring this out as well.
Pricing Page; again I am still working on this one.

Web Site Sketches

This is actually two pages on one sheet of paper. My main page and second page.

I would like to have a gallery for each subject I do; pets, children, special occasions, pregnancy, and some creative photography I do.

Art Deco Cover and Magazine Spread

On the right is my cover. I designed the cover to include the digital arts logo at the top. I couldn't find a log that would work with the size of my cover, so I am leaving it up to your imagination. I used photographs and changed them into vector art. I wanted to recreate the Art Deco style posters as closely as I could. I just want to say that I am not happy with my final result with this one. I have spent hours fixing and changing it. I gave up as it was due today. I hope I can do a little better next time!!
I used silhouettes I found online. I deleted the originals and can't find them on the web!!
Below are the original images I used to change into vector art:

Here is my cover idea. Not sure if I am going to use the silhouettes.

Here is my two page spread. I want to use a photo of an art deco building and create a vector image. I would like t include 1930's silhouettes in the windows. I also want to use the windows for highlights of the article.

I have been playing with a camera since my parents brought our first Polaroid Instant Camera home in early 80's. I can remember the anticipation of seeing my work, watching as the picture came to life. I was fascinated by the fact that I had the ability to stop time. That moment will never happen again, but it was preserved forever on a little 3 x 4 card.

As a kid, my photography started off as pranks to upset my victims. I enjoyed capturing people in humorous situations. This mischievous behavior actually turned into an art form over time. I noticed that the true personality of the subject was revealed in the photo when they were not aware of my presence. I also liked the fact that emotions were real and the smiles were natural.

I have jokingly referred to my style of photography as "Ninja Photography." You can't see or hear me when I am in "Ninja" mode. When my services are requested,  I like to melt into the background so I can zoom in on special moments. I am not a fan of forced smiles or perfectly posed people. I want to capture the essence of the person. I also like to pay attention to the things we take for granted (for example: a close up of a couple holding hands or the tiny hospital band on a newborn.) When my photos are found in old shoe boxes someday, I want that image to reflect the emotion of that moment. I am not opposed to posing people when it's requested; however I wait to take the picture when my subjects have relaxed or forgotten that I am there. I have a knack for becoming invisible in these situations. I love to capture a funny glance shared between two siblings, a dog that wont cooperate with a family photo, or laughter shared in a the moment.

Photography to me is a moment captured in time. You can't go back in time, but you can save it in a picture.
This is a big sister with her newborn sister. The little one was actually crying when I took the picture.  She was trying to comfort her.

A text message between friends before a wedding.

A moment between a mother and daughter. The mother was the bride and the daughter was helping her hold her dress up in the bathroom stall.

Taken during a wedding ceremony. The couple was holding hands in the middle of a song.

A father listening to his daughter read her vows in a front yard wedding ceremony. The father was very ill so the couple had the ceremony at his home so he could be there.

A planned posed shot that went wonderfully wrong!

A moment between my brother and his wife.

Siblings on their way to a place where the mother wanted pictures taken. The twins looked up at their sister so I took the shot.
